Our Mission
Many communities face one common problem – a gap between scientific knowledge, access, and real-world impact. The WISE Foundation was created to bridge the gap between science, education, and community by making knowledge accessible, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering individuals to engage with and benefit from innovation.
Scientific advancements and research are happening rapidly, but they do not always reach the people who could benefit most. At the same time, educational systems may not always keep pace with emerging fields and communities. This is especially true in underserved, underpopulated communities that lack access, representation, or trust in these spaces.
When science, education, and community operate in silos, the science can become disconnected from everyday needs, educational resources can feel outdated or inaccessible, and communities can be left out of innovation and opportunity. Our goal in bridging the gap helps to translate complex science into practical, usable knowledge, create equitable access to education and STEM pathways, build trust and relevance through community engagement, and empower individuals to participate in and benefit from innovation.
